Install New Crown

When you go back to the dentist, they will place the new crown over your tooth. In most cases the crown will not fit perfectly instantly. If the fit is not perfect, the dentist can use a special electronic tool to reshape the crown until it feels comfortable in your mouth.

As the doctor is reshaping, they will stop and ask you to close your mouth. This will allow the dentist to see if your bite is correct. When you close your mouth, the crown should be level with your other teeth. If it is not, you will feel only the crown when you close your mouth, which may be very uncomfortable. If this is the case, the doctor will continue reshaping. Depending on how well the crown fits in the first place, this reshaping process should not take a long time.
